The Best CrossFit Gyms in Houston!

Houston is amazing…a melting pot of culture, industries, and CrossFit!

With all this going on we wanted to recognize H-Town’s Best Boxes!

CrossFit Central Houston

CrossFit Central Houston’s philosophy is “Mechanics, Consistency, Intensity.”

They are passionate about teaching members how to do things right (mechanics), making sure they are able to perform movements correctly over and over with little to no weight (consistency), and then and only then, encouraging heavier weights or a faster pace.

Their members know that it is more important to complete a workout with less weight today. Focusing on form and safety, so that in the future they will have the baseline skills to be stronger and faster.

Their coaches are always present on the floor, guiding you through your warm-up and workout.

Expect to see bodyweight/gymnastics movements, olympic lifting, powerlifting, running, rowing, kettlebells, and more combined in a workout designed to build strength and conditioning across short, medium, and long time domains.

SkyLine CrossFit

Skyline CrossFit begins with a one-on-one introduction followed by five personal sessions built to not only get you moving but also to start learning!

Skyline is in the business of professionalized coaching, you will be taught and coached through all movements in every class you attend.

They take attention to detail from the personal training space and and camaraderie and intensity from the group training space and put them together for a workout only found at Skyline CF.

Vintage CrossFit

Vintage CrossFit focuses on providing quality coaching for all levels of athletes, with the most experienced coaching staff in Houston.

They offer QuickFit, a 30-minute workout that combines cardio, core strengthening, and full-body functional movements like kettlebells and wall balls. No barbells, no Intro class needed, anyone can attend!

Olympic Weightlifting, a one-hour class that focuses on improving technical execution of the snatch and clean & jerk. This class is designed to help improve technique, mobility, efficiency and coordination with the snatch and clean & jerk.

Endurance, an endurance sports training program that focuses on eliminating excessive training volume while increasing intensity and teaching proper running mechanics.

The goal of CrossFit Endurance is to create a more sustainable performance curve in endurance sports without the pain and injury that is common in LSD training and to emphasize quality over quantity. Strength, speed and power are all critical components to success in endurance

Vintage CrossFit also offers Yoga, designed to improve flexibility, body awareness, breath, and balance. The non-competitive aspect of yoga provides a nice balance to CrossFit; while it’s not competitive, there will always be room to grow in yoga and another pose to master.

Grind House Fitness

Grind House Fitness is a huge 13,000+ sq/ft. facility catering to all fitness levels and activities.

They offer CrossFit, Strongman, Powerlifting, Olympic Weightlifting, Mixed Martial Arts, Fitness Kickboxing, Yoga, and Youth Sports Performance Training.

They have a dedicated team of coaches to help you achieve your fitness goals and break away from cookie cutter programs.

CrossFit West Houston

CrossFit West Houston welcomes members with open arms and a genuine interest in you and your success.

Their team is well rounded and can teach everything but most of their coaches have a specific area of expertise; mobility specialists, gymnastics specialists, weightlifting specialists, and nutrition specialists.

CF West Houston also uses the Level Method, which systematically progresses and ranks athletes from beginner to advanced; delivering tangible, achievable, and incremental goals.

It’s a system that shows you and your coaches where you are in fitness, giving  you the knowledge, and your coaches the tools, to help you achieve your goals faster than ever before.
