New York City is one of the world’s greatest cities, offering some of the best food, bars, entertainment, etc. but when it comes to CrossFit there really are only a few.
First off being sponsored by a big brand or being a high end multi city box does not mean your the best; the best consists of amazing communities, coaches, and programming.
To kick off that list we have Solace and Bowery…
“Fitness trends fade, but Solace New York is built to last. In 2015, the gym opened its doors and was quickly labeled the “luxury CrossFit box” of Manhattan.
That label, however, does not do their gym justice. Solace New York is more than just another CrossFit box, more than just swanky locker rooms, more than trendy products and apparel on the shelves.
They are a fitness, wellness, lifestyle brand focused on the three important pillars of fitness – strength, speed, and recovery.
Solace New York contains the most comprehensive training offerings in the city.
General preparedness programs lead by passionate Level 1&2 CrossFit Trainers, specialized gymnastics classes taught by former Olympians, and Body and Yoga classes facilitated by certified instructors are a few of the many classes on the daily schedule.
Solace’s well-rounded approach can help any athlete meet their goals and will never fade into the background of the New York fitness scene.”
Bowery Crossfit is the gem box of NYC, with ground presence is a humble door beside a Chinatown Hot Pot restaurant, but inside they have 200+ members, 7 coaches, and a dedicated nutrition specialist that are jewels of our community.
They are going on 4 years strong, and continue to build their community with athletes that have been around since the beginning as well as newer members who find the laid back, yet no nonsense vibe at Bowery to match their needs.
Something that sets Bowery apart is that members’ goals drive strategies from the bottom up. Every member is provided with 4 one on one goals setting sessions each year.
The results of those sessions are communicated internally so they know what makes each member tick and what they can do to elevate the group experience and start hitting those individual goals. Some come with weight loss goals, others with strength gain goals, but throughout they find that members want to cultivate habits of health with people they trust and enjoy being around.
At Bowery, they rely on a foundation of Crossfit with the insights of individual aims to provide an exceptional NYC fitness experience.

“CrossFit Wall Street is located in the heart of the Financial District on 60 New Street. FiDi is a bustling area full of interesting and accomplished people, and our membership reflects the area’s diversity. CFWS members are students, retirees, bankers, brokers, business professionals, homemakers, artists, and more! The common bond we share is a desire to push ourselves to reach our highest potential.
Our CrossFit gym is different from other gyms! At CFWS you won’t find treadmills, weight machines and walls of mirrors… we use old school barbells, kettlebells, rowers, running and gymnastics to deliver true functional fitness. Unlike many other CrossFit gyms in NYC, we limit our classes to 8 athletes with one or two coaches per class so you get the personal attention you need to attain your fitness goals. Each class begins with a dynamic warm-up selected to prepare you for the Skill work and the Workout of the Day (WOD). During the Skill, your coach will help you refine the technique and efficiency of the major Olympic/power lifts or gymnastic movements.
At CrossFit Wall Street we don’t do EASY. However, you WILL find that we provide loads of motivation and camaraderie at our gym, with plenty of opportunities to meet and form lasting relationships with a great group of people. We are men and women who have grown and seen our lives change for the better because of the CrossFit lifestyle.”
