CrossFit Roots & CrossFit Sanitas – Boulder’s Best Boxes!

Boulder is an amazing city surrounded by thousands of acres of recreational open space, conservation easements, and nature preserves, making it a dream for any athlete or outdoor enthusiast… it also happens to be a place of extraordinary CrossFit.

There may not be a ton of boxes in the area but it’s been said that quality is more important than quantity, Boulder solidifies that statement.

Two of the top boxes being CrossFit Roots and CrossFit Sanitas.

CrossFit Roots

CrossFit Roots opened almost 9 years ago in a 1-car garage, is now housed in a 10,000 square foot training facility, and is Boulder’s oldest CrossFit gym.

They’re the only female-owned and operated CrossFit gym in Boulder – whose owner also teaches group classes. They have the highest collection of CrossFit Level-3 and Level-4 certified CrossFit coaches of any affiliate in the world, with seven Certified CrossFit Trainers (CF-L3) and two Certified CrossFit Coaches (CF-L4). There are roughly 55 CrossFit Level-4 coaches in the world, they have two of them.

They cap classes at 12 athletes per class to deliver on their belief that above all else, their athletes deserve world-class coaching. You just can’t deliver on a high level of coaching interaction with a 24 person class, not even with two coaches.

CrossFit Sanitas

CrossFit Sanitas started in Boulder in 2013 and centered around a front desk with full-time staff dedicated purely to that position.

This allowed new athletes, intimidated athletes, drop-ins, and experienced athletes new to town to not only be supported while in class; but also booking an acupuncture session, dealing with membership questions or just needing to calm their nerves about starting this thing called CrossFit

At CrossFit Sanitas it’s all about the support of our athletes and having a good time — they have supervised childcare 7 days/week, a cold plunge pool, 6 fully stocked showers, a functional medicine doctor and PT on staff, and they give all new athletes a free body composition test, goal-setting meeting, and a Functional Movement Screen.

Boulder CrossFit

Boulder CrossFit offers CrossFit Classes, Yoga, Mobility Clinics, Nutrition Seminars, CrossFit for Teen Girls, Olympic Weightlifting, Competition WOD’s, Personal Training and more!

Close to Valmont City Park and the Boulder Creek Path, they are able to take advantage of the Boulder weather for workouts outside of the gym or in their 4,500 sf state of the art facility.

CrossFit Beat

CrossFit Beat understands that CrossFit is different for everyone, from sport to new levels of fitness they have you covered. They respect all aspects of people including race, ethnicity, gender expression, sexual orientation, socio-economic background, age, religion, body shape, size, and ability.

They believe that exercise is integral to health, but everyone starts at a different place and they’ll help you identify and set attainable goals based on where you’re at. They have small class sizes and personalized coaching to give you the attention you need to be safe and get the most out of your workouts.

CrossFit ETB

CrossFit ETB opened in January 2014 with the establishment of Easton Training Center’s 10,000 square-foot Boulder location. Since the beginning, they’ve put an emphasis on safety, community, and accessibility–creating a fun, supportive environment for athletes of all levels.

The CrossFit ETB mission is to bring out the strength in each individual, instilling a deep-rooted sense of self-confidence, self-respect, success, and empowerment. Using fitness as a catalyst for mental growth and fortitude, you’ll create positive changes in your work, family, and social life.

CrossFit Left Hand

CrossFit Lefthand is a fitness facility designed to help individuals, athletes, and teams lead their best lives. Regardless of your ability, their primary goal is to help you get the results you’ve always wanted, so that you can become the person you’ve always dreamed of.

Above all, community is their greatest strength and they foster the atmosphere you need to feel welcomed, encouraged, and challenged. Their programming combines the most effective training methods of weightlifting, gymnastics, and high intensity cardio.
